Exiles and Vänersborg to meet in the Ladies final after Exiles received a walkover from Pingvin and Vänersborg beat what seemed to be 13 players from Skåne Ladies (Malmö/Lugi) by 98 - 0.
On the male front, Exiles with 23 players beat Enköping by the highest score ever, 116 - 7. Enköping scraped together 15 youngsters including, I believe, a couple borrowed from another club. Very sad, considering this is Enköping´s 50th Anniversary season.
A total of 18 tries for Exiles with Jack putting over 13 conversions. Hat-tricks for Daniel and Ushangi, a couple each for Matt and Derbs and one each for 8 other players. All 23 in the squad had a decent run.
Göteborg turned up with a full team plus a few reserves in Trelleborg but Pingvin once again ran out comfortable winners by 55 - 11. So it´s the expected final between the finalists of the last three years, Pingvin and Exiles, with the first final in a couple of weeks in Trelleborg and the second a week later in Stockholm. Exiles continue their run of playing 18 finals in a row, winning 11 out of 17 and 7 of the last 8.
In the second Allsvensk qualifying match, Troján at home beat Södertälje 36 - 28, but that was not enough to turn around their 13 point deficit from the first game. So, well done Södertälje for returning to Allsvenskan. As I mentioned before the game, several teams are about the same standard and allowing/inviting Troján to stay up as well would give a better balance to Allsvenskan 2019.
