In total 10 Exiles, of which 8 are "home grown" were on National team duty this weekend, two at senior level and at U-18 level. | |
As previously reported Exiles had 8 players in the Sweden U-18 team, which played two games at the weekend. After two competitive games thay came back with one loss and one win. Victor Pierce, who has been showing his speed off at senior training, scored Sweden U-18s first try. Congratulations to all of the boys, who have been showing their paces at senior training. At the senior level Exiles were represented by First team Captain Paul Sullivan and new cap Ian Gowland. The speedster Ian scored a try in his debut international. Sweden just managed to hold on to beat Catalonia 21 - 17. Catalonia is a semi-autonomous part of Spain. Congratulations to the swedish Team in general and our boys in particular. | |
