Internationals 2017 - 2018

19 Jul 2017
There is quite a heavy programme of 7s and 15s games in the first half of 2018. Time to start planning for this NOW!

Two relegated - Sweden and Netherlands go down

9 Jul 2017
I have assumed that only one team would be relegated, like the men, but it appears that it is two up and two down for the women. My mistake and most of my calculations irrelevant. Sweden did beat Italy and the Netherlands beat Spain, but they still have the highest combined rankings.

Sweden still in trouble

9 Jul 2017
The Netherlands won their match against Italy with a struggle, scoring all their points in the last 90 seconds. Sweden then lost 17 - 12 to Spain after a poor and careless game. So if the Netherlands beat Spain and Italy beat Sweden in the last round, it´s relegation time. We´ll know in a couple of hours.

GP 7s Day One

8 Jul 2017
I´ll write about the actual tournament tomorrow. What´smore important today is to workout what is required for Sweden to keep its place in the GP.

European GP 7s round 2

7 Jul 2017
Another tough weekend for the Swedish girls in a pool together with Ireland, England and Poland. Sweden it will be recalled beat Poland on the final whistle to take a final ninth place in Round 1. Sweden could clear themselves from relegation worries on Day 1 by beating Poland (probably) and I don´t think they should aim to do much better than keeping their place at GP-level this time around.

Finals Swedish 7s

2 Jul 2017
Two exciting finals with Exiles holding on to beat Vänersborg 14 – 10 and Enköping scoring and converting with the final play to beat Södertälje 19 – 17.

Day 2 Swedish 7´s

2 Jul 2017
We´ve got as far as the finals with Exiles beating a very poor Karlskrona Södra 69 – 0 and Nina Giebat running in three tries when Vänersborg beat Malmö 17 – 0. No walkover for Exiles in the final as Vänersborg has a very solid team including a couple returning from Göteborg.

Day 1 Swedish 7s

1 Jul 2017
Not the highest level but there are still 16 Swedish teams doing their best in Borås and it´s not every week we see that. Pre-finals favourites Södertälje and Exiles are still there in the semis, but they still have a bit to go before they take the titles.

Exiles Ladies through to finals at SM-veckan

1 Jul 2017
Exiles Ladies have made it through pool play undefeated during day 1 of the national sevens playoffs at SM-veckan in Borås. They will play pool B's second placed team Kalmar Södra in the cup semi final at 10:10 tomorrow morning.

Swedish Sevens thia weekend

29 Jun 2017
Ladies and Men complete the domestic Sevens season with the Championships in Borås. A depleted tournament with only one Allsvensk Male team playing and Female National team players asked to save themselves for next weeks Grand Prix.
