Spain worthy winners of euro sevens

13 Jul 2010
Results almost entirely as forecast on Saturday night (except France just pipped England for a semi spot)
Spain beat the Netherlands to add the Sevens title to their European XV-a-side title. Sweden just stayed up in ninth place by the skin of their teeth against improving Finland. Moldavia replace Finland next year. England and France are going to have to raise their game if they want to compete in European championships. And where are the other "top" teams (Wales, Scotland and Ireland) skulking?

Entertaining game in the heat

The Twos went down to Norrköping expecting to be challenged up front, but hoping to be able to use their experienced backs to come away with a win. In a tough, clean and exciting game that was pretty much what happened. The Twos won 34 - 14 after leading 17 - 7 at halftime.

Ones and Twos both win comfortably.

3 Jul 2010
The Men´s first team, although short of a few regulars, ran up 95 - 7 against Gothenburg, while the Mighty Twos, also known as the Babas had their first win of the season 34 - 14 away to Trojan.

The First XV defeated up and coming Spartaces 14 - 0 in Gothenburg. One try only scored by player/coach Dylan Schofield. The Ladies just got their nose in front to win 12 - 10 against an Uppsala team which faded in the last 15 minutes. The Twos finally drew 24 - 24 away to Uppsala after leading 19 - 0 and the Ones met little opposition from Pingvin, just failing to make the ton.
